Fair Day with the Sydney Silver Backs

The Gender Centre had a great Mardi Gras Fair Day with its traditional family orientated stall. We were very fortunate to be visited by members of the Sydney Silverbacks Wrestling Club who presented us with a cheque, a calendar and some fantastic artwork.

The Sydney Silverbacks Wrestling Club (also known as Harbour City Wrestling Club) is a LGBTQI and straight friendly, not-for-profit community sporting club based in Sydney. Anyone interested in a safe inclusive space to practice wrestling should contact the Sydney Silverbacks.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF COUNTRY

The Gender Centre acknowledges the traditional owners of the land that we reside on. We pay respect to elders past, present and emerging and strive to honour and support indigenous trans and gender diverse folk that we work with, support and share community with.

We acknowledge sister girls, brother boys trans mob and first nations LGBTIQ+ community members.

The Gender Centre pays particular respect to the Cadigal Wangal people, who are the traditional owners of the land on which we deliver services to the TGD community.
