Website Information

The Gender Centre website is currently undergoing a major facelift, a facelift that will bring it in line with current technology and ensure that it functions as new technology is developed. With recent developments also in the area of website and accessibility standards, we are striving to ensure that this website continues to meet those minimum standards and in many areas excedes those minimums. The current redesign is being undertaken in stages and website users are being asked to be patient as they may experience slight changes in appearance and some content from time to time. Our goal is to have the new site completed early in 2009, current estimates are that this goal is within our sights.

This will be the fourth version of the Gender Centre website, the first version went live in May 2000, the second version in January 2003 and the version which is currently being upgraded went live on Friday April 29th 2005.

It is the intention of the Gender Centre Inc. and its web design contractor "NixDesign" to maintain web standards and accessibility standards throughout the website at all times, and as such all components are checked regularly and verified for compliance with the World Wide Web Consortium (W.3.C.) X.H.T.M.L. and C.S.S. Markup Validation Service.

The website is also being checked for compliance with W.C.A.G. 1.0 in relation to web accessibility, if you notice an area of the site that is inaccessible or not as accessible as it could be for your needs, or to report any amendments, alterations, broken links etc., please don't hesitate to contact the Gender Centre.
