To arrange a training session, please contact the Gender Centre on telephone (02) 9569 2366 Monday to Friday 9:00am - 4:30pm.

The Gender Centre is able to conduct specially tailored training sessions for your staff, in your own workplace or a venue of your choice.

Education and Training suitable for;

Employers / Employees

If you have an employee who is changing gender (transitioning) the Gender Centre offers training specifically tailored to organizations with regards to this process.

The Gender Centre offers a Model Policy for Employers to use when formulating policy around transgender issues. The Anti-Discrimination Board and the Gender Centre recommends the use of this policy.

We also offer a Model Document informing staff of the Transgender Policy. We recommend the N.S.W. Department of Health Guidelines for Human Resource Transgender Policy.

Teaching Institutions

If you have students who are studying service provision, marginalized communities, sex and gender issues or related topics, the Gender Centre can assist you with additional information to complement your course notes or handouts as well as Internet information sites which would be useful in today's electronic information age.

Service Providers / Students

If you have a seminar or presentation regarding gender issues, transgender or transsexual people's needs or related topics, there might be resources, books or information you can access to complement your presentation.

Service Providers

If you have clients who would benefit from the resources held by the Gender Centre please do not hesitate to give them our details. Otherwise, please refer them to our Training Brochure.
